For the 9th year in a row, Nando’s is running the legendary Nando’s halfway stop at sani2c, the charity mountain bike eco-adventure that has captured the hearts and minds of bikers across our country and, indeed, the globe.
The race begins at 7am at Underberg School and ends three days later at Scottbough Main Beach on the South Coast. Competitors will travel more than 265km and ascend 3301m as they tackle pine forests, whizz past lazy cows on farm roads, struggle up steep climbs, splash through water and scare the pants off wild animals on game farms.
Nando’s has become synonymous with this exhilarating event and the Nando’s halfway stop on Day 2 is a much-loved highlight and a welcome spot to relax your burning thighs and enjoy a delicious Nando’s burger.
If you’re taking part and want to win some Nando’s vouchers (and who wouldn’t), send a photo of your pretty face in front of the “Nando’s Fire It Up Hill Competition” banner, which you’ll find at the halfway point and the finish line, to @NandosSA.
Good luck to all and may the fire within power you over the line!
