Hlengiwe Ndlovu's "Vuli Gate" Mango, Lemon & Herb Affair

Hit song ‘John Vuli Gate’ went viral after a group of women added flavour with their own moves and vodka in hand. If cooking with a splash of booze is your gig try this alcohol-infused recipe.

Ingredients

  • 5 ml Lemon and Herb PERi-PERi Sauce
  • 1 tot Vodka
  • 5 ml Mango syrup
  • ice
  • 1 lemon
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper

To Serve

  • Served in a whiskey glass, you can squeeze the lemon used for garnish to add more flavour.

    Add ice, lemon & herb PERi PERi, mango syrup and vodka into a blender. Blend into a slushy mixture. Cut lemon into ring for garnish, use one slice of lemon to rub around the rim of your glass, and lightly sprinkle with cayenne pepper. Pour your cocktail slushy mixture into your glass.
