Moroesi Thene's "Banyana" Saucy Garlic Wrap

2020 had us feeling pap then halakasha! Banyana in the area with their 7th Cosafa win. Celebrate Banyana Banyana by trying this spirit-raising 7 colours recipe.

Ingredients

  • 250 ml Garlic PERi-PERi sauce
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 3 g yeast
  • 100 g butter
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • salt
  • 500 g chicken
  • Vegetables of your choice
  • 1 tomato
  • slice of pineapple
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 ring of feta cheese
  • quarter cabbage
  • 2 carrots

    To make the wrap First mix flour, sugar, salt and yeast, then add milk and butter and knead. Place the dough in a container and let it rise for 1 hour. Then divide the dough into small balls and roll each out using a rolling pin. Place rolled dough sheets in a hot pan and cook both sides.

    Skewer the chicken and vegetables on kebab sticks and cook in the oven. Make your wrap by adding the veggies, chicken, some pineapple, tomato, avo and feta with Garlic PERi-PERi sauce.

    Serve with coleslaw, made by mixing the shredded cabbage, carrots and add 125 ml Garlic PERi-PERi sauce.
