Nontando Mthembu's "Fresh Start" Zesty Chicken Marinade

A recipe inspired by the love of flavour commemorated braaing every day during December 2020. Compliments!

Ingredients

  • 100 ml Lemon and Herb PERi-PERi Sauce
  • 30 ml Brown sugar
  • 30 ml Lemon rind
  • 60 ml Six gun sprinkle
  • 30 ml Sparerib sprinkle
  • 10 ml Smoked Paprika

Best Served With

  • Grilled chicken
  • Baked chicken
  • Fried chicken strips as a dipping sauce

Cooking instructions

    Mix up all the ingredients in a bottle that can be sealed, shake and refrigerate overnight.

    Pat dry your defrosted chicken, grill, and when it's half cooked, brush your chicken with the marinade and put back on the grill for further cooking.
