Ruben's "Lights Down Low" Beef Potjie
We got used to our extended staycation, then dukuduku load shedding. Trust Eskom to steal the spotlight. Chakala or potato? Here's a load shedding recipe that keeps your inner light burning.
Ingredients
- 45 ml Bushveld Braai PERi-PERi Sauce
- 1000 g Beef potjie meat
- 1 ml salt
- 1 ml pepper
- 5 ml herbs (whatever you have or prefer)
- 25 ml flour
- 40 ml olive oil
- 2 units large onions (chopped)
- 2 units cloves garlic
- 410 g canned tomatoes
- 1000 g baby potatoes
- 250 ml boiled water
- 500 g frozen peas
- 410 g tinned butter beans
To Serve
- Serve with samp, rice or pap.
